IV/Injection Therapy FAQ

What is IV/injected nutrient therapy?

IV and injected nutrient therapy deliver vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants directly into your bloodstream or muscle tissue for fast absorption and noticeable improvements in energy, recovery, and overall wellness.

The benefits of IV and Injected vitamin therapy have not been evaluated by the FDA.  These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

What does IV/injected nutrient therapy therapy help with?
  • Fatigue and low energy

  • Metabolism and weight support

  • Immune health

  • Hydration and recovery

  • Stress resilience and mood balance

  • Skin, hair, and nail support

  • Athletic performance and muscle repair

How long does an IV/injected treatment take?
  • IV infusions: ~30–60 minutes

  • Injections: under 5 minutes

How often should I do IV/injected therapy?

Frequency depends on your goals — some patients come weekly or bi-weekly, while others supplement monthly or during times of higher stress, travel, or illness exposure.

Is IV/injected therapy safe?

Yes — when performed by trained medical professionals using pharmacy-grade ingredients (as we do at Flow Wellness). We review your medical history and, when appropriate, labs to ensure safe and personalized treatment.

Are there side effects?

Side effects are uncommon and are usually mild, such as temporary arm tenderness for IVs or brief soreness at injection sites.

How long before I feel results?

You may feel a boost in energy, mood, or focus within a few hours to a couple of days. For deeper benefits — like improved metabolism, recovery, skin health, and inflammation support — most people notice meaningful changes over 2–6 weeks, depending on the therapy and your individual goals. Consistency matters, and each session builds on the last.

Who should avoid IV/injected nutrient therapy?

This therapy may not be suitable for individuals with:

    • Severe kidney disease

    • Congestive heart failure

    • Certain electrolyte or fluid balance disorders

    • Known allergies to ingredients

It is also not recommended in pregnancy without OB approval.

    What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a naturally occurring coenzyme found in every cell of your body. It plays a crucial role in creating cellular energy, repairing DNA, reducing inflammation, supporting brain function, and promoting healthy aging. As we get older — or when we’re stressed, inflamed, or run down — NAD+ levels decline, which can contribute to fatigue, brain fog, slower metabolism, and reduced resilience. NAD+ infusions help restore these levels to support energy, clarity, mood, recovery, and longevity from the inside out. NAD+ is available by IV, injection, and home oral/injected use.

Is IV/injected therapy covered by insurance?

IV and injection therapies are considered wellness and preventative treatments, so they are not typically covered by insurance. That said, many patients are able to use HSA/FSA funds to help with cost. We’re happy to provide itemized receipts upon request.
