October started with the FDA removing Tirzepatide from the shortage list with some pharmacies immediately shutting down. A subsequent lawsuit filed by compounding pharmacies led to the FDA reconsidering their decision and allowing compounding pharmacies to resume production. An update is anticipated November 21st. Semaglutide was also listed as “available” by Novo Nordisk on October 31st which may lead to additional compounding restrictions. More information available here.
