May Weight Loss Newsletter

by | May 5, 2024

Thank you for your ongoing support. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and look forward to assisting you in the future. Your continued business is a vital part of our community and success.  In this newsletter you will find several updates about our services.

Questions for your Clinician?

We are available for any issues that arise during your treatment. Please allow 72 hours to receive a response. The best way to reach your provider is via the patient portal. Phone calls and text messages are relayed through our office staff and can result in a delayed response. If your provider is not immediately available, you may have your question answered by a covering clinician or the medical director. If you have not heard a response in 3 days, please reach out again. We will honor any cancellation or change to your order on the day the message was sent.

To discuss any questions or concerns about your treatment, we recommend scheduling a monthly no-charge follow-up visit. You can schedule at this link.

Once the scheduling link is open, select the following service:
  • “Weight Loss Check In – Telehealth” for a phone call.
  • “Weight Loss Check In Bend clinic” for an in-person visit at Bend clinic.

Medication Delivery

Please contact orders@theflowwellness.com for any of the following concerns:

  • If you have not received a tracking number or your order has not been delivered 7 days after receiving an e-mailed receipt.

  • If there are delays that result in your next dose of medication being late.

  • Your shipping address changes.

We place orders within 2 business days of payment. We do our best to send you tracking numbers on orders from the pharmacy. However due to overnight shipping, the package often has already arrived when we see the tracking number being reported.

Our Role in your Overall Health and Ensuring Appropriate Care

We strongly encourage annual visits with your primary care provider (PCP) for routine health check-in and screenings as recommended. Please inform your PCP that you are taking weight loss medication.

For those with pre-diabetes, diabetes, autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, or high cholesterol, monitoring labs is important since weight loss can affect the doses of medications as well as metabolic functions.

Patients with high blood pressure and/or diabetes should have their kidney function and blood pressure checked every 3 months to monitor for any changes until taking a stable dose of weight loss medication. Six month lab and blood pressure checks are recommended once no longer increasing weight loss medication.

Weight loss medication has been shown to reduce risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney disease, and diabetes. In very rare cases, however, the medications can adversely affect kidney function even if not dehydrated. Ensure you are staying well hydrated with plenty of fluids while taking these medications. A goal is to have your urine be the color of lemonade or lighter. If you have any concerns about potential side effects, please reach out to your Flow Wellness clinician via the portal or go to the ER or Urgent Care if sudden or new symptoms arise.

Referrals

We value your referrals and continue to offer a $20 referral credit for a new patient.  This can be applied once per each order. The new patient receives the same $20 credit as well. Please have the new patient mention your name at the time of their visit to receive the credit. Referrals are only credited once the new person has had a visit with one of our clinicians. You can receive one referral credit per order. We serve patients in Washington and Oregon.

Thank you again for choosing Flow Wellness and we look forward to helping you reach your health and wellness goals. If there is anything we can improve or further serve your needs, please feel free to contact us.
